About Us
Calling historical Muzzy Field home, the Bristol Blues are one of fourteen teams within the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL). The NECBL was established in 1993 and is currently sanctioned by the NCAA and Major League Baseball. Each team plays an eight-week, 44-game schedule during June and July, with a playoff in early August.
Being a part of the NECBL has allowed us to be a showcase for top-level collegiate athletes, giving professional baseball scouts a chance to see prospective pros playing against each other. The Collegiate Summer Baseball Register continues to rank the NECBL as the 2nd-best collegiate summer baseball league.
For over a decade, we have strived to uphold our original mission and keep our core values in mind.
Family
We understand the importance of family, so we strive to make attending a game a family experience. Whether we’re hosting birthday parties in our dugout suite or letting kids run the bases in the seventh inning, we strive to make our gameday experience affordable and fun, allowing families to enjoy the sport of baseball together.
Hard Work
Like the people of Bristol, we value hard work across our organization. We expect our players to play hard regardless of the score. Additionally, we expect all staff members, whether front office staff, interns, or volunteers, to uphold this same value. We ask them to work hard to help deliver an unforgettable fan experience for both Bristol and the entirety of central Connecticut.
Authenticity
Since our founding, our organization has continued to strive towards our goal of delivering an authentic baseball experience without compromising our identity in Bristol. Whether it’s hand-painting the billboards on the outfield wall or playing at the historic Muzzy Field, we aim to curate a fan experience where baseball in Bristol is the main attraction.
