Walk-off Win Against Blue Sox at Muzzy

Blues finish game two with a WALK-OFF WIN! Bristol won against the Valley Blue Sox 5-4, making the Blues' season record 16-18. 

The Blue Sox started hot, taking a 2-0 lead at the top of the first inning. Chris Cancel stole second and advanced to third on a throw, Anthony Tirado stole third and scored on a throwing error, getting the first run of the game. Followed by a flyout to right field by Jacob Dilley, letting Cancel score. 

Top of the fifth, Valley made it a four-run lead when Chris Carson hit a two-run home run down the right field line, also scoring Nick Tomasetto. 

However, the Blues started to close the gap in the bottom of the fifth when Nick Flores lined out to left field, scoring Evan Menzel (UCONN), making the score 4-1. Bottom of the sixth, the Blues were hot once again. Sean Britt (St. Johns) doubled to left center, scoring Nich Francuzenko (Rider) and Chris DiPrima (Yale), and advancing Thomas Zwirecki (Rutgers). 

Following, Menzel singled to left center, advancing Britt to third and scoring Mason Breton (). 

To finish the game and take the lead, Cal Chance (UMass Lowell) was at bat. 

Chance singled to right field, advancing Colin Crowley (Winthrop) to second. Francuzenko went to third, and DiPrima scored, making the game 5-4.

Justin Silverstein (High Point) started on the mound for the Blues. Silverstein went on the mound hot. In the top of the first inning, Silverstein struck out the third at bat against the Blue Sox. The following inning, he pitched a three-up three-down inning. Silverstein finished his time on the mound having pitched five innings and only allowed four runs, five hits, and seven strikeouts. 

The Blues return to Muzzy on July 19 at 5 pm to face the Martha's Vineyard Sharks.
